About the Conn Creek AVA Barrel Blending Experience
With views of our estate gardens and the Vaca Mountain Range, the AVA Room is the perfect setting for wine lovers of all levels to enjoy a one-of-a-kind Napa Valley wine tasting experience.

In our search for the best Cabernet Sauvignon grapes to create our flagship wine, ANTHOLOGY, the AVA Room came to life. We discovered many exceptional single-vineyard sites throughout Napa Valley, and today Conn Creek sources fruit from prized vineyards in nearly all of Napa Valley's 14 renowned sub-appellations or AVAs.

The AVA Room Barrel Blending Experience provides guests a rare opportunity to learn about, taste, and blend wines from the many distinctive regions that make up Napa Valley — one of the most famous and diverse wine growing regions in the world. Better yet, we invite our guests to play winemaker for a day and take home the fruit of their labors-literally.

To guide guests through the tasting experience, we've categorized the Cabernets by flavor and richness starting with the softest and ending with the boldest. We also feature barrel tasting of the other Bordeaux varietals: Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Merlot and Petit Verdot. During the seminar, participants taste barrel samples of Cabernet Sauvigon from these sub-appellations and Bordeaux varietals, before creating a bottle of their own blend to take home.
